About us

Floristry has been a passion of all who work at Riverbend Flowers but we understand that as the world changes and the cost of flowers increases, florists are under scrutiny to provide more than beautiful flowers.  We need to show the world how we are meeting the challenges of being a green company to offset that flowers are imported, to allow you to have colour and beauty year round.

We meet these requirements head on by recycling and replacing as much of the plastics as possible from our packaging.  We do still use floral foam but have moved to the plant based Renewal Oasis and where practical go foam free.   We have also installed solar panels to provide the power for cooling the flowers.  Our recycled walk in fridge extends the life of the flowers and removes as much waste as possible.  We grow as much of the foliage as we can, taking on a three acre field to grow eucalyptus and other evergreen foliage locally.  Our deliveries to your are made by out latest addition,  our electric van - powered by our large south facing solar panels.
